My life, thoughts, and random craziness.
A poem
Published on April 28, 2004 By Wolfgang Snider In Religion
Here is something a friend sent me last night. I thought it was really nice.

Lord, let me come and enter into Your presence, into the chambers ever
near to Your face, Where the oil of true worship lay spilled on the
floor near the door of Your intimate place.

Father, I'm not satisfied with second-hand descriptions of what You're
like through another one's eyes. For I must come and experience You and
your glory knocking patiently as You hear my cries.

I'll walk past the rooms of casual acquaintance where prayer requests
are quickly laid at Your feet. For I long to come closer to adore who
You are where communion is holy and sweet.

As much as I desire to speak and communicate I need the silence of a
time with no words, Where the worship I bring is the tears on my face
and Your heartbeat is the answer I heard.

I no longer want to "visit" your Presence for a while but I want my
habitation to be in Your grace. And I want to be so close that my
fingers can outline the very features of Your perfect face.

My soul cannot wait till the Wedding Day comes to see the chambers of
Your innermost room. For my garment is pressed...and I long for that Day
but today I must sit with my Groom.

That's definitely something to meditate on.

That's an awesome piece It says so much for the things I have one day and the things I strive for on others.
Do you know where I can get any more of this author's work?

I am the writer of that poem, although the title was changed somehow.
The original title is "Today I Must Sit With My Groom."
