Wolfgang Snider's Articles

Hello everyone, it's certainly been some time since my last entry. I should really get on this thing more often but for some reason It's hard to bring myself to do so. Anyway, this article is supposed to be about the recent hurricane so I'll get on with it.
Two weeks ago I was offered a job to do yard work with my step grandfather. The hurricane had just come through the night before so there was a lot of work to be done. I wasn't too sure if I would take the job at first though. I kind of laug...

This is really belated. I should have posted about this much sooner but lately I've been finding myself getting caught up in other things. Either that or I just forget about this thing. Anyway, I saw Rush last month on there recent tour and I thought I would share. Man what a show! I will never forget that night as the crowd moved into the venue and the band started up. I couldn't believe I was actually there. For those who are planning to see them I'll try not to spoil you with the setlist etc....

Hello everyone. It's been quite a while hasn't it. For a period of time I actually forgot about this thing, but here I am. I have to share a few things that have been going on. First the bad. A friend of mine is up in the hospital with staff infection and he has a 51% chance of living. Last time I heard though he was starting to do a little better. Not too sure what caused the infection but I'll probably find out pretty soon.
Now on to the good. And by good I mean Really Good. Michael is finall...

So, it's June once again. And just like last year, it gets hot here fast. Not to mention that our AC doesn't work right. It's been so hot in the house. Everytime I wake up I've been covered in sweat. Things have been gross and uncomfortable. I've been forced to take showers everyday now. Which is not a bad thing in the least, but It breaks my cycle of showering every other day. All this has changed though. We went out and picked up two AC units last night. One for the living room and another for...

Wow, it's been a while since my last update.
Well, we had a farewell party for Mike a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. He will be missed. A lot of stuff going on in my life right now. Not like my last few updates. I'm now officially a High School Graduate so now I have a lot of things to get done. First I need to get everything ready for collage schoolwork. I'm planning to enroll in a music school (www.usschoolofmusic.com) and start taking on-line courses. Not too sure when I'll be able to s...

I'm so excited! Yesterday my ticket for Rush's 30th Anniversary tour came in the mail. Now I just have to wait 45 days for the show. You know, before, I hadn't thought much about the concert. But when I held that ticket in my hand I had a new revelation. I'm going to a Rush show! I'll finally see these guys and hear there music live! It's gonna be a wild experience.
I haven't been a fan for very long. Maybe about a year and a half. I still remember picking up my first Rush album which was Exit ...

Not much has been going on with me recently and that would explain the lack of entries lately. But a few of my friends are going through some changes. Michael ( http://michaellubrano.com ) is getting his R&R together and he will be re united with his wife and two daughters soon. The guy has really been through a lot. Praying for a safe trip. Another friend of mine, Michael, will be moving back to Pennsylvania on the 30th. And another friend, Kenny, is moving into a new house. I was at his old ho...

My brother and I go into our local consignment store from time to time looking for albums to add to our collection. I got a turn table for Christmas last year so I've been in pursuit for good LP's and 45's. But we live in hickville so typically the only thing we find in the store is old country western stuff and crap that should be tossed in a land fill. So we decided to go to a Half Priced bookstore that's about an hour from us. My brother was pretty positive that there was a lot of good stuff ...

I have mentioned my internet radio broadcast a few times before in the blog. Now I will go into more detail about it. Several years ago I started a little Live365 station. To be the different person that I am, I made it a place to stream my videogame music. (don't laugh) I started up a website for it and through it I came into contact with some people. We linked up and now we are putting together special programs for the radio.
You should check out there site They have put a lot of work into it...

I'm tired. Just got back home from a benefit concert at my bowling ally. It was pretty cool. Got to see the local bands around here again. Good stuff
Anyway, I almost have all my music uploaded to my Live365 station. I think I can get the rest done tonight. And this Saturday there will be a special live show on my broadcast. I'll fill you in on that later. Good night

Here is something a friend sent me last night. I thought it was really nice.

Lord, let me come and enter into Your presence, into the chambers ever
near to Your face, Where the oil of true worship lay spilled on the
floor near the door of Your intimate place.

Father, I'm not satisfied with second-hand descriptions of what You're
like through another one's eyes. For I must come and experience You and
your glory knocking patiently as You hear my cries.

I'll walk past the rooms of ca...

I have lots of work to do. I have to re upload all my music for my Live365 station in to a different format. So I'm in the process of ripping CDs. Now I just found out that the quality of the files are too low. So I'm trying to get an audio converter to get the music to a slightly higher bitrate. I have to get all this done by the end of the week. Man, April is gonna feel good to get out of.
I'm pretty tired, mentally and physically right now. I should try going to bed earlier than usual tonigh...

The year was 1981. Yes' Steve Howe, King Crimson's John Wetton, The Buggle's Geoff Downes, and ELP's Carl Palmer got together and formed a super group. They became a rock act that went against the flow of the time delivering a sound that was special and unique. They where known as one little word..Asia.
I'm not really a huge fan, but I went out and finally picked up there debut. Awesome album. I had listened to it a few times on the net in real audio format and enjoyed it. But nothing, Nothing ...
