Hello everyone, it's certainly been some time since my last entry. I should really get on this thing more often but for some reason It's hard to bring myself to do so. Anyway, this article is supposed to be about the recent hurricane so I'll get on with it.
Two weeks ago I was offered a job to do yard work with my step grandfather. The hurricane had just come through the night before so there was a lot of work to be done. I wasn't too sure if I would take the job at first though. I kind of laughed it off at first, but after hearing the sum of money that was offered for a full days work I accepted. So my brother and I packed up and headed for the great state of Alabama. The first few days where pretty surreal seeing all the damage. (fallen trees, power lines, etc..) It's pretty amazing what a lot of wind can do. The work was pretty tough. We typically worked eight hours everyday. I don't think I've ever worked so hard in my life. And after a few days it really wasn't about the money anymore. I really wanted to see what I was capable of doing and really make a difference. And we certainly did. We definitely made more than a dent on the houses and yards we worked at.
The work was hard but worth it. So would I do it again?...Probably not lol. But the experience will be etched on my memory for a very long time.
